10,000 Dogs To Be Murdered At Chinese Dog Eating Festival

No matter how many actions have been taken against it, the festival is still happening. If you are unaware of the festival, thousands of cats and dogs are killed and eaten. In 2016, around  10,000 dogs and cats were murdered during the festival , which takes place in Guangxi Zhuang, an autonomous region in China's South-East. According to vendors of the dog and cat meat, the animals are killed in a humane way. However, those who protest against the festival claim that dogs are captured in cages with other animals and are either bludgeoned to death or skinned alive in public.
